Keybounce

I have also suffered a lot of keyboard Bounce on the C64X keyboard.

I was able to "fix" it by pulling the keycap off, pushing does the key and spraying DeOxit 5 in to the key switch.

That seems to have fixed it, but that was VERY annoying until I tried that. Is there no debounce routine in the key matric to USB firmware? Were the latest keyboards made with cheap key switches?

BTW, I used a A620I Gigabyte MB and AMD8700G processor in my system and loving it. Right now only Windows 10 installed on it (I love Windows 11, but there is one program I need for service that I am waiting for an update to work under Windows 11). I do want to install another SSD and dual boot the system and have the Commodore OS2.0 as an option.

Hi Dave,
My Apologies about the key bounce only a few people have had it. Well done for fixing it. The keyboards were made in USA using Cherry MX key switches - so high quality. Well done on the A620I - a good choice!!

I too developed an issue where my S key and D key were bouncing i did the same, and removed the keys and gave them a good squirt with YSAMAX Electrical Contact Cleaner Spray and they are now working a treat again..... love my C64x :) . https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0CYTB1J2M? ... title&th=1
