Re: Installing Commodore OS Vision
Ouch! Are you connected to the monitor via HDMI?
I noticed the other day that a vga cable may not allow you to go higher than that.

Re: Dual Booting Between COS2 and Win11?
I'll have to try this out. Thanks.
I wonder if there is something in the windows C:\grub2\grub.cfg that can be applied in our regular grub to make that work, without the need to install grub2win within Windows.

Re: Installing Commodore OS Vision
Then don't do that! Seriously though, if the OS is running fine on your hardware then there is no definite requirement to update the kernel. It's a nice thing to include, in the hopes of increasing hardware compatibility, but the benefits otherwise are not really noticeable. I've always though...

Re: Problem with nVidia RTX cards?
Are these games that are reported to run through WINE on Steam successfully? I mean, running a windows title on linux is hardly a sure thing. Have you looked at the Steam titles available for linux natively? Steam for linux is in one of the top menus. Also, just to test out things are working, there...

Re: Unable to set path in CBM prg. Studio
Okay. I've installed it with WINE. You might want to create a menu item with the command to run it: wine "/home/Commodore/.wine/dosdevices/c:/Program Files (x86)/CBM prg Studio x86/CBMPrgStudio.exe" I attempted to create a project. It does not allow me to select a default project location ...

Re: Package manager errors and Plex server
You may want to follow these instructions:
https://linuxcapable.com/how-to-install ... ian-linux/
I've not tried to install it on COS myself.
My own Plex server is running on my Western Digital NAS and had an automated install.
Let us know how you go.

Re: Kernel Update
Did you use the following (top) menu option to update the kernel?
System --> Commodore OS --> Install Latest Linux Kernel
At the moment this should bring you up to kernel 6.11.7 (stable)
I am not noticing an error.

Re: Download Commodore OS (no issue)
The direct download link was not working because the Internet Archive got hacked and their site was turned off. The site has been back up and Commodore OS available for direct download for the last couple of weeks or so. The timing was......suspicious. Hmmmmm..... Maybe those hackers were Atari user...
