Re: OS Basic Studio Development
Since we're talking BASIC, has anyone here heard of a book entitled "Golden Flutes & Great Escapes" written by Delton T. Horn? Horn originally wrote four adventure programs for the TRS-80, and then ported them to such computers as the Apple ][ and the Commodore 64. My question is, if ...

Re: OS Basic Studio Development
I can't even imagine... my own little 3D game inside my surrogate "Commodore". Learning BASIC all over again with new capabilities to create some of those dreams from childhood of just creating my own little forest to walk around in, etc.

Re: Volume at full - HELP
It's the difference between having your nose buried in the project, and people out in the world using it, that's all. It's absolutely epic what you've accomplished and there's a whole lot of us out here that simply can't thank you enough. I'm still floored at how snappy everything is on this old sla...

Re: Volume at full - HELP
First of all, the latest updates/additions were very welcomed and added a lot of quality of life for 'daily driver use' for those of us doing so. Second, so far as volume goes - I think that saving the state of the machine at shutdown would be preferable to a hard volume-level set. Example: My Tough...

+1
One of the first things i did was install a software store so I could get a few flatpaks of audio players and utilities that are only available through them. There are no apt/dep packages available otherwise.

Lockup Issue (Not sure where to put this)
Heya! Ok, so I've only had a couple of instances where the system "hangs" - and it's only when I'm installing weird software (like for my synthesizer, or some Steam update or what have you) so it's not like this is a huge problem, but I do think it should be looked at for the reasons that ...

Music Vibes!
I've really been enjoying COS3 more and more, and it got my music production juices flowing again. So I've installed all my stoofs - Audacity, Reaper, my Microfreak synthesizer and a ton of plugins, a bunch of AI generated stems to warp around with, and I produced a few new classic/retro Synth-Pop t...

Re: Elitedesk 705 mini ryzen 5 / vega
I'm reaching back into memory here, but on my old 5/vega system, to get a couple of different versions of Linux to be happy, I had to make absolutely sure Secure Boot was disabled, Legacy (and not UEFI) USB was enabled, and I had to add "acpi=off" I believe it was to the boot options for t...

Re: Discord Channel?
Discord is alot faster and easyer platform to share pictures even video. Users of the OS can converse often in realtime on what they are doing with a OS or having problems with. They can get help alot faster. Showcase their system. As there often are many users in a DC channel discuss stuff in real...

Re: Saving Commodore Q&A with Perifractic.
This is so epic. I can't even describe how awesome it is that an entire brand is going to be, in essence, owned by the users that helped grow it into what it became and are now saving it from being lost!
