Re: Sick of playing whack-a-mole with bots!
Leo, so depending on the version of phpBB you could install hcaptcha. https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/extension/hcaptcha/ It does require an account creating for the integration to get it working but hcaptcha has a free tier which should work https://www.hcaptcha.com/pricing Looking around there ...

Re: Sick of playing whack-a-mole with bots!
ah found this thread, I did report a message in another forum thread. I haven't checked but does phpbb provide a captcha to register. I have seen that on other forums. Will check what is available as my background is in IT and Cyber security.

Re: OS Vision 3
Do you see that as a Commodore "vision" worthy of pursuing? Thanks Leo for working to getting COS3 out. Been using COS2 since I got my C64x a while back and loving that. While I was surprised by the large 37GB distro for COS3 as I am installing it as I type I cannot wait to see what it ha...

Re: Graphics Issue Solution?!
I went to Debian 12 earlier in the week when I was trying to fix a Bluetooth 5.4 USB driver issue. After various tries at various fixes I did the dist upgrade to see if a later Debian may fix it. It was a little painful, lost a lot of the CommodoreOS feel and functionality but it has somehow come ba...

How to install MakeMKV (solved)
In a solved topic Bruce asked "Any idea how to play Blueray or to install MakeMKV?" see - https://forum.commodoreos.net/viewtopic.php?p=217#p217 When I saw this question from Bruce I had no idea what MakeMKV was or why I might need it, well as it turned out now I know. I have a Blu Ray UHD...

Re: Translucent Keyboard
Quick update while installng my BD drive I had the opportunity to take a look at the keyboard circuit. It has two chips, Nuvoton NUC123SD4BN0 which doing a bit of googling is the controller chip for the keyboard overall, with the CH555L another chip driving the LEDs for the keyboard. I have attached...

Re: The Site Keeps Bouncing
Looking better, working today, and looking at the wireshark capture it didnt show anything interesting, but I checked your DNS details for this domain and you appear to have a problem with one of your name servers, ns2.asphostserver.org is unresponsive and ns207.asphostserver.org is working, so you ...

Re: The Site Keeps Bouncing
hi Leo, didnt work. It bounced again just now. Strange thing is the C64 welcome screen did not even load this time, just flat out fail to load page in the browser. I have done a wireshark capture and will analyse it to see if there is anything I can see from the outside that might point to a problem.

Re: The Site Keeps Bouncing
Yes, I had this yesterday. So having seen this post earlier in the week I thought I would check somethings. Going to https://www.commodoreos.net works, I see the C64 classic welcome screen. Then loading the page https://www.commodoreos.net/CommodoreOS.aspx it seems to be in a loop of redirects. Then...

Re: Translucent Keyboard
I'm sorry there is no software control over the led functionality - this came down to cost but also time - I did push for QMK but our partners resisted and said this would add more cost and time. The project had gone on for so long already, i just wanted to get the keyboards built and in the hands ...
