Really appreciate your help. I have decided to format and start again and this has resolved the issue.
I blame Microsoft for this 24h2 update killed COS2 in my eyes.

Hi, Thank you for your advice. I have made a live image usb stick and I'm able to boot into that now but not sure how to fix the grub bootloader. I believe if I can get into the OS past the login screen - I should be able to fix the grub bootloader from there somehow. Need a way of bypassing the log...

Stuck on Log In Screen after grub rescue
Hello, I'm had an issue after a windows update that caused the grub boot for COS to go into recovery mode. Well, I managed to resolve the issue and I’m now kind of dual booting.
