Re: Commodore hardware ROMs
I've just downloaded Amiga file version 9 from Cloanto. It is an MSI file. From what I understand I can place this msi file into /usr/share/commodoreos/roms/amiga without using Windows? I have 9 Plus edition. I also have both C64 and Amiga 10 Plus editions as well but they are both ISO files. HOWEVE...

Re: Syncterm.deb app
I wanted to try it out as it seemed to be well liked by other people which is why I took time to track down an installer. But not finding an easy way to run it I started thinking maybe I'll never get to try it out. Clicking on the link I pasted from the previous post I thought I would be directed to...

Re: Syncterm.deb app
I used Chatgpt and found the following: ...................................................... No, the archive syncterm-16-src.tgz (or any .tgz / .tar.gz file) is not directly executable. Here's why: A .tgz (or .tar.gz) file is a compressed archive — similar to a .zip file. It usually contains sourc...

Re: Installing Syncterm / NetRunner
<r>Thanks for all your help. I' will now transfer all my energy into figuring out how to use SyncTERM. <br/> I've joined the Syncronet BBS Facebook group as of last night. Hopefully they have an already compiled .deb file I can use. I am fairly certain the tgz file needs to be compiled due to the ve...
