You can do one of the following.
a) If you maximise the window it will go solid (except the CLI window).
b) When moused over any window, you can hold the ALT key and use the mouse wheel to slide the transparency to solid.
c) If you want to turn transparency off on desktop windows altogether....
System --> Preferences --> Look and Feel --> Visual Effects Manager
then under "Accessibility" uncheck "Opacity Brightness and Saturation" to turn it off.
I also want to remind you that if at any time you can't remember a keyboard combo you can display them from the menu
System --> Commodore OS --> Display Keyboard Shortcuts
WARNING!!!
Playing around within the Visual Effects Manager is like opening Pandora's box.
You can undo many settings and never get it back the way you want it. I've learned that the hard way several times.
Some effects are seriously broken. There's a reason the effects I chose are the effects chosen.
Even getting rid of one niggling thing might have ramifications. Be careful.
