What about the piMIGA set up?
Can that be automated too? Is there a config you can share?
Does it create an icon somewhere? In menu or on desktop or both?

piMiga 4 just came out and I'm still waiting to get it all set up (a 36GB download that unzips to a 100GB image).
I am especially interested to see..........if we could have something better. ;)

I haven't had time to do my research but it appears piMIGA is running Amibian on Debian and launching into an emulated Amiga running Scalos?
I guess it would be nice to see it running on Commodore OS which is basically Debian.....by default....
The above posts would be a guide.

I wonder though.....IF Commodore OS could download and install ALL the retro games for the most popular 8-bit and 16-bit platforms, including a game launcher with metadata, with a few clicks, would you still even bother with piMIGA?

The verswion of Amiberry included with 3.0 is current and can be upgraded or otherwise manged in he Synaptics Package manager.

I'm right now running 3 instances, one an A500 HD running Workbench 1.3 an A500plusHD runing Workbench 2.1 and an Amiga 4000 runing OS 3.2.

One day it would be my hope that you can buy a premium version of Commodore OS with all the ROMS and lots of other things all set up.
Or alternatively be able to add these "features", that as they are proprietary, you would pay a license fee for as part of the installation process.
I guess that would require a registration key process of some kind.

But why stop at 68k Workbench emulation when you can have the next gen Amiga OSes, like for instance AROS included?
I can't see why Hyperion with AmigaOS4 or MorphOS team, would object to being paid a license fee by individual users?
These OSes could be downloaded and run inside a vm that you could launch in either VirtualBox or Qemu (depending on the tech).
Commodore OS could even have a process where you could actually launch into one or even all of these environments simultaneously automatically.
This would essentially give you the potential to have the best of every world.

Hallos,
Not meaning to hyjack this thread but i have set up Pimiga 4 and caffeine OS 9314 with icons on the desktop they take their own configs as arguments with the starter icon also AGS and Amiga live so you can play amiga games with others. They boot straight into the Amiga desktops. It was with the last that i discovered that the FS emulation was twice as fast as Amiberry in sysinfo. (this could be becouse i was using rtg in berry and pal in FS, not sure) I need to do more testing on this although Amiberry runs very nice already and gives me picture perfect, stable emulations. Using COS on an old thinkpad I7 4/8 laptop. Now if i only could AMiberry to recognise my BT gamepad LOL wich DOES pair with COS. To be continued...
