Re: Cannot run C64 software on vice

Please share with me if/where the Cloanto ROM Setup is broken.
Then I can fix it in an update for all users.
I am considering making the absence of the ROMs launch a prompt, as people are complaining they can't get Emulation to work (reasons).
It might be because the entry to setup the Cloanto ROMs in the Settings manager is a bit deeper than before.
Maybe I just made it too confusing...or maybe it sounds like it does one thing but it really does another.
Am I communicating what it is doing incorrectly in the COS3 instructions? It it a matter of TLDR?
I'm not entirely sure... I'm happy to change the wording if someone has a better suggestion.
Excuse me if I'm wrong, but I think the issue might well be a misunderstanding of what it does.
The Cloanto 8-bit ROM setup downloads and extracts the ROMs and Games from a C64 Forever Value edition from the Cloanto site.
This process was only built in the first place because C64 Forever didn't run under WINE in Linux and is the only way to get the ROMs legally.
If C64 Forever now does work under Commodore OS, that is quite interesting, and I can now consider altering the integration approach.
I wonder if Amiga Forever runs under WINE now. Can anyone confirm?
