Installation successful

Post by Peter1512 »

Since I pre-ordered that new C64 Ultimate I had to give Commodore OS a try so I installed it and gave it a spin. First impression so far, it is good and I like it. Somebody put a lot of work in it to create that look and feel and the software library sure is massive. Said all that, I did turn down some of the graphical bells and whistles but that just is a personal preference. There was just to much going on

Some hardware specs:
HP Z440 with Intel Xeon 3.8 GHZ (6 core), 32 GB ram, 512 GB NVME M.2, Nvidia GTX 1070 (with latest Nvidia driver).

Thanks. I'm glad you like it.

I appreciate that some people like to turn off some of the graphical effects, and it is easy enough to do. It is labeled to be easy to find.
The thought at the time was, to convey the incredible graphics ability of the Commodore OS desktop and thus increase its desirability.

I intend to make some presets a user can switch between such as high(current), medium, low and none in the settings manager.

I intend to make a GUI component as well, displayed as a part of the welcome wizard and also within the Commodore OS menu.

I love the idea of having graphical pre-sets available. It may also help people with lower spec computers to have a pleasant experience out of the box.
Thank you for all the work you put in it.
