Has anyone managed to get COS2 to play well as a Remote Desktop Server?

I have tried XRDP but it just displays blank.

I guess the fancy COS window manager is not compat?

Hmmmm. I'll have to try that out some time.
I guess if all else fails there's Teamviewer, but it isn't as user friendly as the Windows version.
I also vaguely recall VLC being able to do something remote wise.
I need to get back to you on this one.

Edit: I meant VNC. Doah!

Yeah it's weird isn't it.

I tried 2 different RDP clients.

I'll see if VNC works, though it is likely to be too inefficient to do any of the Emulation etc as a remote screen. RDP has been quite good at that in the past with Linux believe it or not!

I don't think I would dare use teamviewer 8-( (Such a pity)

Did you get the Compiz effects working via tightVNC?

The problem may be Compiz as it doesn't display the desktop the regular way.
A solution is described here.

Yeah it seems all the effects are working fine via TightVNC server, quite impressive actually.

Pitty VNC doesn’t do sound though. ☹️

Real VNC appears to, but it requires a subscription.
