I'm using the OS on third party hardware I've built a custom Kiosk style PC out of industrial case and other components I was planning on running the roms pulled from my C64 Classix (HMV PC dosc) that O have already pulled off I just simply cannot figure out how they are going to be launched in Vice there are T64 and D64 files none run when asked to launch the D64 files in Vice it says * is missing? And I'm about to burst a vessel in my head trying to figure out since early this morning on and off it's gettign me down as I have worked on this build for a while to get runnng dual boot loaded with roms and other content as well as making some music for background video play when I showcase it but I can't really do any othat without some games I hot the Amiga Classox disc pulled the roms on that and nthey do work but the C64 is royaly p@ssing me off now and it's putting me off.

Hi Wizardz,

The open source C64 ROM provided with Commodore OS will only run cartridges(.CRT).

Please follow the Cloanto ROM installation guide.
System --> Commodore OS --> Cloanto ROM Setup
And run the Cloanto 8-bit ROM setup. You will need an internet connection.
It will assist you in downloading the Express Free edition of C64 Forever by Cloanto.

This is the preferred method to obtain the 8-bit ROMs and will alleviate most, if not all, the frustration in regard to Commodore 8-bit emulation. :D

It is covered in more detail here(viewtopic.php?t=51) along with other emulation issues.
