Linux Gaming

Post by LeoNigro »

I've just created a forum called "Modern Gaming On Commodore OS" which I hope will provide a space to discuss gaming successes or issues.

Whilst I'm here, I also want to point out some things that may warrant further exploration.

A curated list of arguably the best Linux games that play well within Commodore OS 2.0 are available for automated download.
System --> Commodore OS --> Free Games Installer

For more information: viewtopic.php?t=10

An assortment of free Windows games are also packaged within Commodore OS 2.0 and can be accessed by clicking on the Commodore logo in the dock and navigating to the Windows folder. A fantastic click to run Turrican clone "Hurrican" is also available under the Linux folder.

The menu "Application --> Gaming Services and Tools" provides the following game stores:
Steam Gaming Service for Linux
GOG Gaming Service (MiniGalaxy)
Heroic Games Laucher for GOG and Epic Games
Lutris provides a front-end for many game stores.

The configuration of these stores is beyond the scope of this post, but feel free to discuss any successes or issues within this forum.
However, let's try and keep the generic graphics driver issues in the "Commodore OS and Linux Software" forum.

Enjoy!!!

PPS: If you're viewing this after Commodore OS 3.0's release things may have changed.
