Happy New Year Everyone!
Sorry I'm a little late , but I hope you're having a great year so far.
Commodore OS 3 is currently a work in progress and edging closer and closer to release.
It's taking some time because I really want to make this a noteworthy upgrade to Commodore OS, and worthy of your attention.
You might also know that Commodore OS's main reason for existence, is as the official base install of the Commodore C64x and its variations from MyRetroComputer. I am happy to report that since the Retro Recipes episode on YouTube that covered the C64x I have heard that MyRetroComputer has had a surge in orders and that a new batch of the Commodore 64x, is in production. If you haven't seen the Retro Recipes video, there's a news item here: viewtopic.php?t=678.
Commodore OS 3.0 is starting to become a really big distro size-wise, packed full of not only all the amazing software you'd come to expect and a few additional items, but also a great many more games, providing endless hours of entertainment.
I've just spent the last couple of days with my son playing most of the new games curating and categorising as we go, and we're both having a ball.
I've had to repeatedly tear him away from the Commodore VIC-20x(with N100) I'm testing on, which is a very decent configuration I must say.
Edit: I will provide details on how to obtain Commodore OS 3.0 on a USB stick closer to launch.
So I am proud to say that the Commodore brand is alive and going strong in 2025 and the foreseeable future.
I really think this is going to be quite an exciting year! (I mean aside from the aliens landing. )
Warmest Regards,
Leo Nigro
