Hello Commodore OS Vision community,
Can you please help? I have downloaded a VDI image however I am stuck in basic and can not get the nice GUI to start. Does anyone know how to get the GUI to run?

Re: VDI image is not booting GUI
If I navigate to cd ~ and go into etc, I think I have got everything, I just do not know the command to kick off the install.
Re: VDI image is not booting GUI
I take it you're running VirtualBox, and you've attached the ISO of the Live Distro and proceeded to install from there.
You've also followed all the installation instructions in regard to VirtualBox?
Hmmm...
Wait a sec....
What version of Commodore OS have you downloaded and installed?
We're up to Commodore OS Vision v2.0 released in December of 2023.
You can download the latest version via torrent from https//:www.commodoreos.net .
Still, I'm a little surprised the old version no longer works in Virtual Box.

Re: VDI image is not booting GUI
Thanks for the reply,
Yes this is the Virtual Box version.
I obtained the VDI from https://archiveos.org/commodoreos/
they have several AMD images ISO, and one VDI file. I will destroy this virtual machine and start a new one with the bit torrent you sent. I haven't used bit torrents in 20+ years so I will have to find a client to help download it also. Do you recommend any good trusted ones?

Re: VDI image is not booting GUI
I never knew about that site. They clearly don't have the latest version.
They are most welcome to host the latest ISO.
If they host the VDI image I hope they at least select the OEM option. (Info in the installation instructions)
And if it is contained in the VDI image, they must include the graphics acceleration. (which they clearly haven't in their desktop picture)

Personally I use qBittorrent. It is also included in Commodore OS, but somehow the default client turned into Transmission.
