Oh Cool! I was meaning to set that up for COS3.
I'll have a go and get back to you.

Okay. I've installed it with WINE.
You might want to create a menu item with the command to run it:
I attempted to create a project.
It does not allow me to select a default project location from the Windows folder dialog.
However if you type the path in it works.
For instance from Tools --> Options [Default Location] I entered:
C:\C64Project
It seems to create projects fine....but I've not launched or configured any of the Windows Vice emulators yet.
Setting all this up fully could get quite involved.
Let us know how you go.

Code: Select all
wine "/home/Commodore/.wine/dosdevices/c:/Program Files (x86)/CBM prg Studio x86/CBMPrgStudio.exe"

Re: Unable to set path in CBM prg. Studio (solved)
I had remembered when setting up it before on windows 8.1 that you must manually set it by selecting editing and then path copying the path from the windows interface line.
I have had very little luck with wine but glad to hear it is possible to install CBM prg Studio with it.
C64studio is another program i was also testing to see if it would work on Commodore Os .it does work and can set path for the Vice Emulator.

also Hoxs64 Emulator works fine as well.I love the look and feel of this one the most.I hope the creator will update it and make it more compatible.

on a different Idea i had long ago about the future of the Commodore 64 and programming. There is a emulator for snes games called 3Dsen.

I was hoping that something like this would be created for the Commodore 64 maybe it could read the code and convert it to modern Graphics output with 3d shaders etc.
Anyways maybe it might be possible to see this in the next Commodore OS update.(hint...Hint..)keep on Dreaming.
Thank You.
