Hi all,
I owned and loved a Commodore 128 and still miss some of the games I had for it to this day. I bought and still own a Vic Slim when Commodore USA made a relaunch around the time of Tron Legacy. I'm currently downloading the new Vision OS to install on it.
I do have a question about the possibility of using an ARM motherboard. Are there any plans to look towards the future and support ARM for Vision OS 2 or later?

There may be a Raspberry Pi version in future.
Commodore OS's raison d'être is as the default OS install for the C64x or Commodore licensed machines.
Assuming a port was possible and it performed well enough I'd love for there to be a cheaper pi option for the C64x.
Sean had one working and made a video about it, but it was dropped, probably due to all the cabling and tooling required making it expensive.
There is a mini-ITX pi compute module on the market, but that isn't cheap either.
It would arguably be cheaper to buy a pi400 and rip out the innards for the C64x.
Which begs the question, would anyone be interested in a Commodore branded pi400 in beige, white or black running Commodore OS 3?
I don't even know if the Raspberry Pi people are even open to such a thing, I'm just spitballing.
It runs pretty well given its power.
Would a VIC-Slim still be more powerful than a pi400 though?
Could the Pi400 be the basis for a new VIC-Slim or something?

I would love to upgrade the internals on my old Vic-Slim and have an OS to go with it. To this day the keyboard on the Vic-Slim is one of my all time favorites.

I don't know if it would be a significant upgrade from the Atom processor in the VIC-Slim.
Being mini-ITX it could conceivably fit in a C64x.
The thing is, for the same cost you could get a kitted out N100 intel board which is likely more powerful, that will be able to run Windows and COS.
Commodore OS, if it were to include pi would lead to significantly more hardware/price options and a larger user-base.
