I took advantage of this sleek new version of CMO to boot Win 8.1 off an older Asus 9805 slabtop. Few know them today, but they are laptops with 21" screens from the 2006-07 timeframe. The installation went great from a USB, but even during the install, the left speaker would buzz during periods of screen inactivity. I thought the reboot from the hard disk would solve it, but it did not. Even muting the volume has not stopped the buzz. I absolutely love this OS and hope this issue can be resolved. I'm looking forward to my new Commodore PC when I can free up a little cash!

Re: Speaker buzz after COS install
What happens when you use headphones, wired and blutooth?
This will help determine if this a hardware of software issue.
Try the top menu option:
System --> Preferences --> Hardware --> Sound
Play around with the options in the "Output" tab.
Maybe switch the amplifier option off.
