Hi!
Tried to install Commodore OS on VirtualBox, following instruction page, but once the CD image boots, I'm getting a big C= logo in the background and a (very nice) mouse pointer, but nothing more.
How can I make it work?
Thanks!

Re: Commodore OS and VirtualBox.
That's odd. I've never had a problem.
Here's a video that might show you what you might have missed.

Yeah, I've gotta make a video. I know. As soon as the world stops spinning for a moment.

Re: Commodore OS and VirtualBox (issue?)
Hi everyone, I hope it's OK to post my issue in this thread since it's related to Virtualbox.
I have a MacBook Pro M2 (2023) running Sonoma OS. I've installed VirtualBox and tried to follow the instructions in the YouTube video in this thread.
The UEFI Shell runs and this is what I see:
UEFI Interactive Shell v2.2
EDK II
UEFI v2.70 (EDK II, 0x0010000)
Mapping table
FS0: Alias(s): CD0b0b:;BLK3:PciRoot (0x0)/Pci(0x3,0x0)/Scsi (0x1,0x0)/CDROM(0x1)
BLK0: Alias(s): PciRoot (0x0)/Pci(0x3,0x0)/Scsi (0x0,0x0)
BLK1: Alias(s): PciRoot (0x0)/Pci(0x3,0x0)/Scsi (0x1,0x0)
BLK2: Alias(s): PciRoot (0x0)/Pci(0x3,0x0)/Scsi (0x1,0x0)/CDROM(0x0)
Press ESC in 1 seconds to skip startup.nsh or any other key to continue.

I am not technical and have been trying to install your amazing OS for days via SD Card, using Bootcamp in Windows 11 on a MacBook Pro 2011 (High Sierra, Intel based), and now I am trying VirtualBox.
Ideally, I would like to set up a new partition on the 2011 MacBook Pro and dedicate that to Commodore, but to be frank, I have no idea what to do (which format drive to use, how to install it, etc).
Any help would be appreciated. My wife and I are HUGE Commodore fans and the work you have done is just... mindblowing! If we could afford the new C64, we'd have placed an order immediately!!! Thank you for everything that you do!

Re: Commodore OS and VirtualBox (issue?)
Virtualbox is not like an emulator in that you can only run what it would be possible to run natively on that hardware.MacBook Pro M2 (2023)
The M2 is based on ARM CPUs which would render it completely incompatible with the current build of Commodore OS for PC hardware.
Only specifically created special versions of Linux(and Windows) run on a Mac with an M chip these days.

Re: Commodore OS and VirtualBox (issue?)
Aha! Thank you, that explains it!
I'll try it on the Intel Mac instead, in both Mac OS and Windows 11. Hopefully that will work. If not, I'll have to save up for the C64.
Thankyou for taking the time to respond.
Wishing you every success!

Re: Commodore OS and VirtualBox (issue?)
Just for reference, I successfully installed Commodore OS in Windows 11 on a Bootcamped MacBook Pro 2011 Intel machine. I had to use Failsafe.
It runs well and I am very grateful for this OS. Thank you.
My next experiment will be to install it directly onto a dedicated Commodore partitioned drive on the same machine.
