hi,
I own a C64x with Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650. From the live iso I didn't have sound from my HDMI TV screen. In order to have sound I had to use the headphones.
I thought that with the installation on my C64x I could have had sound but it is not like this. To have sound I have to use the headphones in the installation too.
I tried to install the Nvidia drivers via the built in Nvidia drivers installer but to no avail. Still no sound from the HDMI TV screen.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hey technotron, what output device do you have in your sound preferences? When I right-click on the speaker on the top panel I have a choice to open the preferences dialog. In there I can see all my sound hardware devices and pick where my sound output goes.
I'm keepin' up with a C64, VIC20, and A1200.

Hi technotron,
Unfortunately I don't have this particular hardware, but I've passed this issue on to someone who can troubleshoot.
In the meantime let's investigate together. The above advice sounds good, but if that doesn't work try the following.
Navigate the top menus to:
Applications --> Sound --> PulseAudio Volume Control
Click Configuration tab.
In the Profile dropdown do you see anything relating to "Internal Audio" or "Nvidia" or "HDMI"?
If you do, switch between them and see if it rectifies the problem.
Let us know how you go.
There's more we can do if this fails.

when I right-click on the speaker top panel I can see in the Hardware tab:
-Built-in Audio
-HDA Nvidia (turned off)
-USB Audio device
but unluckily the only one that works for me is the USB audio device.

in the Applications>Sound>Pulse audio volume control>Configuration menu I can see that HDA Nvidia is turnedd off. After I turn it on I can see:
"profile Digital stereo (HDMI) Output (unplugged) (unavailable)"
afterwards when I right-click on the speaker on the top panel I can see "HDA Nvidia 1 output/1 input" but changing the settings here in the Hardware and Output tabs change nothing. I cannot hear sound out of my HDMI TV screen. Only the Usb headphones work.
