Is nostalgia holding back Commodore OS from innovation? With Vision 3.0 out, should the focus be on modern features rather than recreating the past? What radical changes would you welcome—even if they break tradition?

In comparison to AmigaOS, Linux has more modern features, ergo, so does Commodore OS as it is based on linux.
Commodore OS is intent on recreating the past joys from many of our childhoods, but there are always going to be caveats or restrictions, for one reason or another, typically legal or human effort wise. I think whatever truly gets in the way of experiencing that past joy should probably be discarded or replaced wherever possible.

What radical changes would you welcome—even if they break tradition?
Some might say, basing a Commodore branded OS on linux itself, is a radical, if not somewhat necessary departure, that breaks the established orthodoxy. Linux just opens up so many more possibilities in regard to hardware compatibility and access to software than our classic 16-bit systems.
Building a distro is a far cry from redeveloping AmigaOS, which would likely need a team of dozens.
Eventually, through various already existing mechanisms, I would like COS to offer the ability to run an Amiga OS app, just as seamlessly as running a Windows app through WINE.
My ultimate desire is for Commodore OS to promote classic Commodore systems by providing features that enable interoperability with and programmability of those classic Commodore systems. For instance, I truly want to develop Commodore OS BASIC V2 to be mostly Commodore BASIC V10 compatible some day, but a more modern BASIC (which COS BASIC V1 already is), and also be able to produce C64 and Amiga executables.
