Lol no problem.

Okay so i tested that out aaaaaaanndddd, It does actually the same thing that i do by just starting a new dock. Maybe i am closing it wrong but i do this.
In the system monitor i close Cairo dock (checked if itś gone) then open the terminal and type cairo-dock & that will run like 2 docks at the same time and only one of them can configure. i also see a lot of red warnings in the terminal.

I can´t find system manager so i suppose you meant system monitor?

So first of all my wifi does not always work when i startup , cant seem to connect it either. I have to restart Cos and then it will work.

It regularly disconnects and forces me to reauthenticat into my WiFi, but I don't have to reboot.

I have to admit one of the first tweaks I did was disable Cairo dock. I used it a long time ago when AWN started to go away and before I found things like Plank or other docs. I could never quite get it to behave and work right, like some of the others here, and decided it wasn't worth my time. So I stopped it from starting automatically in my COS install. Unfortunately, many of the builtins which use LOAD automatically restart it.

I play around with Compiz a lot, but not because I have to. It's fun experimenting with animations and window placement and I've always enjoyed tweaking in CCSM just to see what I can do with it.

One other thing I did try to tweak when I first installed was using the proprietary Nvidia drivers. The MX driver installer correctly told me my card is too old and the drivers are no longer in the stable repos. I was able to build and sideload the drivers myself, but it took away the boot time modesetting and COS boot splash, so I reverted the change. Maybe some day I'll tinker with it some more, or just upgrade my hardware.
I'm keepin' up with a C64, VIC20, and A1200.

I have searched through the OS and these forums, and I can't find a way to disable the system sounds.
The normal Sound Settings, where you can choose the current sound theme from a dropdown list (currently CommodoreOS of course), neither unticking the box, not choosing 'none' makes any difference.

I have installed this on my Toughbook and absolutely love it so far! But, I do need to be able to toggle the system sounds, without just having to mute the whole system on and off because I'd like to just keep using this for work. This is super stable, super complete, and so great to know that Ive got this with me everywhere I go and nobody knows. lol :)

Apologies if this is simple and I've just overlooked it. Love all the awesome music and sounds you put all this work into, not to mention just the unbelievable gobs of content and resources! Thank you for such a special OS!

Take care

That feature, to turn off the sounds entirely will be in a future update some time soon.

Well, I can deal with the mute/unmute for now until then. I am absolutely enjoying this. I have to say you all really nailed everything. Can't thank you enough!

Was messing around with the Amiga and C64 emulators a little yesterday, used my MSI to get the roms loaded via the Visions integration options (2). Games from Cloanto that came over with the integration work, but anything else I try to load of my own I always get a syntax error (on the C64). I didn't mess around with it for two long, but it seemed odd.

Might just be me. :?

It's cairo-dock not cairo. Doah!!! Sorry about that.

To unlock, simply kill the "cairo-dock" process instance in the system manager (EDIT: "System Monitor" ).
Then open a terminal (Control + ALT + T) and type "cairo-dock &".

And then when you right click on the dock you will be able to select the option to configure it.
I could not understand that symbol until I copied and pasted it into Notepad on Windows.... all this time I had been typing cairo-dock shift 2 instead of shift 7.
