Simple upgrade to OS 3.0 from 2.0
Is there a simple Update to OS3.0 option from OS 2.0? The update gadget didn't seem to do it
Re: Simple upgrade to OS 3.0 from 2.0
The main reason for updating is for the latest hardware support.
I tried my best to automate an update from v2 to v3, but it turned out incredible buggy and resulted in the equivalent of a complete re-install anyway.
I also built some new things into COS3 in an effort to make it worth the upgrade, and it is now what is getting continued support and features.
I'm afraid Debian updates only last between 3 and 4 years and Commodore OS 2 caught Debian 11 at the tail end unfortunately.
Commodore OS 3 caught Debian 12 midway through the Debian cycle and Debian 13 will likely release before the end of the year.
