USB Booter getting stuck (solved)

Post by Damonh »

I created a Boot USB using RUFUS. Plugged it into my lil acemagic box.
ADLER LAKE iNTEL 12TH GEN 16GB RAM
Initial boot seemed fine, but then I get to:
INIT: version 2.96 booting
Using makefule-style concurrent boot in runlevel S.
Starting hotplug events dispatcher: systemd-udev.
Synthesizing the initial hotplug events (susbsytems)...done.
Synthesizing the initial hotplug events (devices)...done.
Waiting for /dev to be fully populated...

ANd thats where it sits. Occasionally I see the usb light flash. I have no idea if its stalled or actually doing anything. I waited about 30min first go around and then rebooted. Starting over. Will let this run and see what happens.

When I tried installing the iso on a Virtualbox everything was fine until the last 94% of the install and then I get an error and about grub and to reboot. So, dutifully I did and the VM won't boot. I am going to try and start fresh with the VB while the lil pc sits there hopefully doing it's thing.

Cheers

I resolved my issue with installing from USB by rebooting and selecting the FAILSAFE option.

I found the answer in this thread: posting.php?mode=reply&t=5

So, I've replied in that thread because I have another issue.

Cheers!
