I'm New to Commodore OS Vision & the Commodore 64x but.... Old school when it comes to the original Commodore 64.I Got mine for Christmas of 1984. I used my beloved machine to do school work my last 2 years of high school. Just before I started college I got a C128 and it continued in the 64's footsteps. I ended up giving my 64 to a good friend, his quit working & couldn't afford to replace it. I know it went to a good home. I still have my 128 and my good friend to this day.
Of course it wasn't all business with the 64 & 128. I played a ton of games and even programmed some of my own.
I already have a C64 Maxi, but, when I saw the 64x on Perifractic's Youtube channel, I knew I had to have it. My birthday is in October, so it was a gift to myself.
2024 marks my 35th year as an IT technical contractor. I've done everything from IBM mainframe operations, Phone support, onsite support, Hardware & software installations & repair. IP phone system installations, Network server, switches, and routers. Point of sale equipment installs including cash registers, pin pads, credit card readers & handheld barcode scanners. Running & Punching down data cabling. I've even been an instructor for students seeking their A+ and Network+ certifications.
All of this due to the humble Commodore 64 & 128.
