Re: Installation in Commodore C64X extreme no sound, no wifi
I would be very much interested and I do understand that it isn't a finished product so problems may be encountered.
I am sending you a DM with the photo requested.

Re: Installation in Commodore C64X extreme no sound, no wifi
Hello LeoNigro. I installed it three times. The first time I tried the top menu update and it gave it the shakes. It is actually kind of funny to see what it does as it does not fully loads the OS and what is there just jumps up and down a bit. The bottom icons also don't load all and there is no to...

Re: Installation in Commodore C64X extreme no sound, no wifi
Doing an update through the top menu / update Commodore Os breaks the installation terribly. It makes all jump and shake, never seem anything like that. Updating the kernel also breaks it, in a similar fashion to what some other posters describe. The good news is that as Leo Nigro had suggested in t...

Installation in Commodore C64X extreme no sound, no wifi
As per the title. I don't have wifi or sound. I tried updating the kernel once using my mobile for USB tethering but it did not go well. Broke the system and I could only use terminal. There were some Lightdm and orther services that would not start. Here are the specs of the system as Commodore Os ...

When you want to have a dual or multiple boot with any windows version, you need to install windows first most times or grub gets messed up.

From steam Broforce is one that suits the retro feel but with a modern twist.
That one is paid I'm afraid.

Re: Has anybody come up with a screen solution?
I did have a serious think(like for a day) about about gutting my broken tube Commodore 1701 monitor and replacing the innards with an industrial 4:3 LCD. I can't seem to find a replacement tube anywhere. Alibaba sells a bunch. But I don't have the time, and maybe not the prowess to do it properly ...

Has anybody come up with a screen solution?
Has anybody come up with a solution to put one modern computer monitor into a CRT looking cabinet to compliment the look of a C-64?
The biggest challenge is that most old school monitors were 4:3 so it is not that easy to reuse an old case.

Re: ARM64 support for Commodore OS Vision
If you can't even run Debian, I'm afraid we're going to get ourselves into a pickle. Ubuntu isn't quite the same thing as Debian any more. That said, you can try out the various desktop technologies to see what may be done in the future. I think your best bet, might well be to run Commodore OS with...
