Sick of playing whack-a-mole with bots!

They keep coming thick and fast.
No sooner do I delete a user than another one registers and posts nonsense.
I keep adding questions to the registration....such that it is starting to get silly.
And they keep getting through....
Not sure what to do. Any ideas?

I've seen the same bot names come up, so I am now permabanning them and deleting their posts separately.
Let's see if that makes a difference.
