Volume at full - HELP

Post by SirCrummock »

I run two distros on my i Mac, the first in my grub menu is Debian 12 OS, I use this for everyday use and the second is my chill use Commodore OS Vision 3.0 which I return to several times a week, the problem is at startup the volume jumps to full blast and literally scares the living daylights out of everyone in the household . I have to be at hand to put the volume on mute then once the music stops its introduction, I then take it down from 100% to 25%. I have taken the levels down in pavucontrol but next boot reverts to 100% all over again, suggestions welcome on how to resolve.

Have you performed an update? I remember specifically setting the volume to 80 percent on start up. I'll have to check. Maybe I should make this a setting.

yes, I have been updating regularly , also I have been removing a lot of programs I won't need like libre office and tinkering with Mate, which I probably shouldn't have been, I have since reset it back to the default CommodoreOS theme. I will have undoubtedly tweaked a setting somewhere, I can't help myself, I just do it and usually regret it. Thanks for looking and getting back so quick.
