Re: Not a software issue - but games claiming to need real hardware run fine?

Actually, it was flagged because VirtualBox would not handle its mouse input correctly. It was too sensitive and unplayable as were some of the first person shooters. I'm glad you've had success though with vmware. It may turn out that my flagging does not apply for it. Once I upgrade my main drive...

Re: Shutting down or restarting hangs system

It failed on hardware? On the install? I tried it on several pcś no problem with the usb start or install. The only thing i found is that you need like 90 gb on the hdd for it to install correctly. With less it hung the install. Just shutting down or restarting using the live distro. I may have had...

Not a software issue - but games claiming to need real hardware run fine?

In this case, gl-117. Constant 60fps with default settings under vmware 12, i7-870, 24gb ram, gt 1030. I feel like this game is so simple that vmware can handle emulation of opengl just fine, but I don't really know that much about vm's. I'm certain that for most games flagged with this warning that...

Re: Shutting down or restarting hangs system

Sorry you're having issues. Which game was it that caused your monitor to freak out? We can find and delete the config, and then the game will probably reset and launch in windowed mode where you can set the resolution. Also note that there are many games that fail because it is required that they ...

I thought so too, that's why I bought it to my friend who has a radeon 5000 series (The new one, not the HD). I couldn't remember which game did the letterboxing and out of range signal, so we didn't test for that.

Shutting down or restarting hangs system

Just stays on the wallpaper. This happened to a friend as well as myself (Don't know his specs, I have a ryzen 5600x, msi b550 a pro, rtx 3070). Also couldn't interact with any ui elements upon boot unless I used my rear usb or front usb 2 ports. Also, I have to install proprietary nvidia drivers to...

Freezing on Linux virtualbox at wallpaper with no ui

I've tried both with and without the virtualbox video option on startup. Vmware loads everything fine. Same settings in both programs. What could be going on? Although it isn't really stable in vmware either, doing something like disabling the animated background can hang everything. It seems to be ...
