Re: Dual Booting Between COS2 and Win11?

Just watched it. Looks great. I'll have to try it out. I've been convinced my problem is hardware but maybe this will solve it. Thanks for the video. Once I try it out to confirm it works universally, I'll put a link to your video within the installation instructions. I wonder if there is a way to s...

Re: 10 "PRINT" G'DAY

SYNTAX ERROR READY 10 PRINT "G'DAY" 20 GOTO 10 Welcome to the forum lordfluffypants. I am happy to report that a pi version of Commodore OS is in development. It will either launch with or very shortly after the x86 version which will hopefully be next month. Then with what we've learned t...

Re: COS 3 Project sources

The OS is linux based which is open source for the most part. It's lineage goes back to Debian through MX-Linux. I'm not entirely sure if MX-Linux included closed source software. Some of the included games would be closed source as would some proprietary hardware drivers. In COS2 you will see that ...

Re: BlitzMax OpenSource on COS2

What is the Commodore OS Central app? Is it like a Play Store/App Store type of app for Commodore OS? We can make it whatever we want. It won't be populated on Commodore OS 3.0 launch. I was thinking everything from an alternate app launcher to an app store, or something that can provide links to g...

Re: Broken System Repository?

I am currently working full time on such things you mention and have talked about them on this forum. I also have plans for considerably much more that I have not divulged. I also have extensive notes on reproducing the OS in future, but you can't make the assumption that the tech will remain static...

Re: Broken System Repository?

Well, I didn't make it too hard. Just out of curiosity. Did you get the Commodore OS sound theme working properly, as I can't get the open and close Window sound effects working without a major hack? All the other sounds work fine though immediately. Lot's of stuff you haven't seen yet coming ...

Re: Broken System Repository?

Yeah, this is the problem with trying to install newer libraries from software downloaded outside of the repos with the libraries the older repository that Commodore OS 2 utilises. This dependency hell is what the Windows people call "DLL hell". That's one reason why container technologies...

That would be awesome.

If you want to make a video it could be hosted on Youtube easily enough.

No, mini-itx.com is fine, they were dealing directly with MyRetroComputer.
So if you're interested in a download link in a day or two let me know.
